Glaciar Sur Pioneros is a tour that allows you to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier in a unique way, combining two navigations on Lake Argentino, a visit to Estancia Nibepo Aike with lunch included, trekking through the Lengas Forest and a visit to the walkways.
The tour at 9:30 a.m. when we look for them at their hotel in El Calafate and we begin the journey along the old “route of the ranches” towards Lake Roca, within the Los Glaciares National Park and 60 km from El Calafate.
You enter the Nibepo Aike Ranch where you will take a walk around the old town of the ranch. Then, they will participate in sheep shearing and herding activities and there will be a demonstration of Creole skills performed by gauchos. At noon there will be lunch in the ranch’s barbecue area, grilled lamb with a table of salads, dessert and drinks included.
After visiting the ranch, they will move to the port to embark towards Playa de las Monedas, with the view of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon arrival, you will disembark and hike for 40 minutes in the Lengas Forest until you reach the viewpoint on the south face of Perito Moreno. Later they will embark once again to sail in front of the southern wall of the glacier enjoying a glass of whiskey with ice from the glacier.
To finish, you will disembark at the Bajo de las Sombras port and, by vehicle, you will go to the unmissable Perito Moreno walkways to tour them for approximately 2 hours. We return to El Calafate via the traditional asphalt route arriving at 7:00 p.m. to your hotel after having visited the southern area of Los Glaciares and Perito Moreno National Park in a different way.

Regular: Patagonian lamb roasted on the stake, variety of salads, flan with dulce de leche.
Vegetarian: Lentil and vegetable stew, flan with dulce de leche.
