We begin our adventure with a fascinating walk through the lush Patagonian Andean Forest, revealing the first stunning views of the Perito Moreno Glacier and spotting the marvelous ice formations. Before we embark on the ice trek, our expert guides will provide the necessary instructions to ensure an exciting and safe experience.
Glacier Hiking: An Unforgettable Experience!
Equipped with crampons, helmets, and poles, we will start the mini-trekking on the glacier, exploring unique ice formations such as deep crevasses, blue sinkholes, imposing seracs, lagoons, and formations. Although the circuit has a medium level of difficulty, the surface of the ice is firm and safe, allowing you to fully enjoy this unique experience.
Whisky on the Rocks with Glacier Ice and Farewell
At the end of the trek, we will offer our passengers whisky on the rocks with glacier ice, and then return along the same path to complete the three hours of walking along the lake shore, moraine, ice, and forest. Back at the Bajo Las Sombras Port, you will be able to admire the imposing glacier walls from the boat. For those who opted for the transfer, we will comfortably return you to your hotels at the end of the tour. If you are not staying in a hotel or hostel, a convenient meeting point will be assigned for the start of the tour.
Passengers without transfer must arrive punctually at the Bajo Las Sombras Port, and it is recommended to arrive early to explore the walkways on your own before heading to the port to start the navigation and ice trekking. The option to add the transfer is available with more than 7 days’ notice before the selected date.
